The Romanian Diversity Chamber of Commerce (RDCC) and the British-Romanian Chamber of Commerce (BRCC) are proud to present the second edition of Innovating Real Estate & Construction: Trends and Inclusiveness, taking place on 21 October 2025 at The Marmorosch Hotel, Bucharest.
The conference will bring together leading developers, investors, architects, designers, legal experts, and policymakers to examine how Romania’s real estate and construction sectors are digitising, decarbonising, and diversifying—while placing inclusivity and accessibility at the heart of business transformation. With the European Accessibility Act deadline fast approaching, the event highlights why accessibility and ESG integration are now essential levers of competitiveness, investment readiness, and long-term value creation.
„In the midst of today’s challenging macroeconomic and fiscal landscape, all sectors —including real estate— are feeling the impact of constant shifts in the business environment. This makes our upcoming event not only timely but also essential, offering the industry a valuable platform to navigate change, share knowledge, and identify sustainable opportunities for growth.” states Robert Uzună, Chairman of the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce.
A forward-looking program
The agenda features three interactive panels, combining strategic insights with real-world case studies from Romania and across Europe:
- Panel 1: Emerging Market Trends in Real Estate Industry
Exploring market volatility, technological disruption, AI-driven asset management, and ESG-aligned investment strategies.
- Panel 2: Building the Future – Accessibility and Inclusive Design
Providing practical guidance on European Accessibility Act compliance, showcase retrofitting economics, and examine how accessibility certifications are becoming ESG “currency” for investors.
- Panel 3: Sustainable Finance Instruments for Net-Zero & Social-Impact Real Estate
Analyzing how green bonds, sustainability-linked loans, and social impact financing mechanisms can directly tie returns to inclusiveness and climate KPIs.
“By showcasing real-world Romanian and international case studies, our conference highlights how the sector can balance compliance, innovation, and profitability,” said Perry V. Zizzi, Managing Partner of Dentons Romania and President of the RDCC. “Accessible and inclusive design is the foundation of sustainable growth in the built environment.”
The coming decade will be decisive for the real estate industry. Universal design, ESG-linked finance, and PropTech innovation are reshaping the way projects are planned, financed, and delivered. For Romania, aligning with EU regulations and meeting global investor expectations is not just about compliance—it is about ensuring resilience, competitiveness, and sustainable growth.
“The growing interest in ESG and accessibility standards shows they will define the shape of the market in the years ahead,” added Aurelia Luca, Executive Vice President Operations for Hungary & Romania at Skanska CDE and RDCC Board Member. “Embedding inclusiveness into real estate is not just the right thing to do—it is a strategic advantage that drives competitiveness, resilience, and long-term value creation.”
The conference is made possible with the support of Silver Partners Dentons and Skanska, together with Wellness Partner THAIco SPA. Strategic backing comes from InnovX, Social Innovation Solutions, and Ambasada Sustenabilității în România / Sustainability Embassy in Romania, while media visibility is ensured through ECONOMISTUL, Club Economic, Real Estate Magazine (Revista de Imobiliare), Radar Imobiliar and România Durabilă.
